Confusing day

I got a bill from RCN for cable service for the month after canceling my account. Friday I get another one saying final invoice, it shows a credit of $74.60. I don't really understand how this works; I did not get a check nor was there any mention of paying off this balance... I plan to keep this one, and just apply it to when I start using there services again. That should happen in the next two months
