Internet radio, how we will miss thee

I was listing to the podcast Mac OS Ken. He interviewed Tim Westergren of Pandora radio. He had an interesting answer to why the RIAA would choose to raise the fees to levels that would kill internet radio (at least as we know it.)
It's the old control game. The one that controls what is advertised (I.E. played) on the radio is the one that controls what sells. They are simply fighting for control, so they think by strangling the future, they can save the past... Sounds like a broken record for them doesn't it. as Tim put it,
The 70 Million people that are listening to it (internet radio) are going to go somewhere else, and it ain't going to be with companies that respect copyright. I can tell you that right now.
That is exactly how I feel. Just one more reason I try to listen to more indie artists. I worry about the big labels, they have some good talent, but they keep trowing money at preventing there music from being heard.
