This is not the first such letter I got. This company; Liberty Names of America, Inc writes saying if you don't renew your domain name, you may lose your exclusive rights to it on the web. While they are not the biggest rip-off I've seen, $29.00 for one year is quite a lot.
The biggest ripoff are these Domain tasters who find I have a .net address and don't own the .com address. They try to charge me 100's of dollars for the .com... a week later; it's free and I can buy it from whoever I want.
